How to Get Rid Of Fleas on Kittens
Kittens are the very young form of cats, and thus they are very delicate. So when their hair once gets attacked by flies, panic will be the first reaction by the owner of that kitten. But there are some ways on how to get rid of those flies on your kittens.
For Kittens below Six Weeks
When the kitten is too young, and that too when it is under six months, than it will be very hard to undertake the strong medication which is used for the treatment for fleas. So the trick here is to give some easy safe and best tips which are effective to kittens.
- First thing you should remember that your kitten is clean and freshly bathed. Its fur should be soaped with mild detergent powder rinse with warm water. We can also use comb to comb their hair after their bath, but make sure that teeth of the comb are rounded and they do not scratch. Always make sure that clean your kitten with clean towel. The towel should be washed regularly with hot water and strong detergent to kill the fleas.
For Kittens above Six Weeks
- Kittens above six years are strong and they can bear the strong medication for destruction of fleas from their system. In these days it is much easier to choose the flea medications for kittens as most of them have already labeled the safety precautions. Most of the owners prefer branded flea medication which is so effective. And when it is used properly they will completely get rid off the fleas
Bengal cat
Bengal cat which is the hybrid breed comes with the combination of two cat breeds. Bengals breed comes from the Asian Leopard Cat (a small cat which is found in Asia). This cat is crossed with some domestic breed of cats like Abyssinian, Egyptian Mau, Ocicat and American shorthair. The resulting offspring will give you a Bengal cat.
The first generation of this cat is not ideal as a pet this breed is very shy and carries too much unpredictable charteristics of its wild parent. Its not get until you get 4 generations removed from the actual Asian Leopard Cat after that you will have a Bengal cat which makes it a good pet.
The fourth generation of this cat has same beauty of what Asian leopard has with undesirable traits and they have been bred out. These cats are very beautiful, also very intelligent and it is also a social domestic house cat. Many owners also consider them as the closest cat just like dogs. Some of these cats can be trained to walk on a leash, roll over, sit and fetch.
These cats don’t grow more then average size house cat. House cats usually have 10-15 pounds of weight similarly Bengal cats have the same. Bengals cats can also be treated like any other domestic cat.
